About Vantage Point Serving Fayetteville, Arkansas for over 30 years, Vantage Point of Northwest Arkansas is a premiere, full service hospital dedicated to providing quality mental health and substance abuse services to children and teens (ages 5-17), adults, and seniors (ages 55 and up). Staffed by highly qualified mental health professionals, nurses, and teachers under the supervision of exceptional psychiatrists, patients receive treatment catered to their specific needs. With treatment offered in a safe, healing, and caring environment, programs incorporate a number of medical and therapeutic techniques geared towards maximizing each patient's functioning, skill building, and quality of life. Vantage Point also has three outpatient treatment centers located in Fayetteville, Bentonville and Harrison, Arkansas which offer the same quality of care to those who require it. A K-12 Therapeutic Day Treatment programs (TDT) are available for students experiencing behavioral health and academic issues that cannot be addressed successfully in the public school setting. School-based outpatient counseling is also available in select public schools. Successful treatment completion is the main focus, with programs designed to help patients continue their success even after discharge. Programs & Levels of Care Vantage Point offers programs for people of all ages requiring various levels of care. Monitored by medical staff, the adult detox program involves evaluation, stabilization, and guidance into treatment. For adults suffering from mental illness, there is an inpatient program on the hospital's main campus that addresses psychiatric needs and assists patients in building useful life skills. Substance abuse and addiction services are afforded to children and teens in addition to treatment for mental illnesses like depression, suicidal ideation, bipolar disorder, and ADHD. The residential program, which houses those ages 5-17, provides around-the-clock care to boys and girls who struggle with severe emotional and behavioral issues. Vantage Point's senior adult inpatient program addresses mental health issues effecting older adults. Issues such as grief, declining mental and physical health, loss of independence, and social isolation are cornerstone to this program. An Intensive Outpatient Program is available for senior adults designed to provide behavioral health treatment outside the traditional inpatient hospital setting. Lastly, Vantage Point offers outpatient services for all ages so as to continue successful treatment of mental illnesses and recovery from substance abuse disorders. Admissions Process At Vantage Point, an initial screening is required prior to admittance. Determining appropriateness for services is the first step in concluding which program or programs will best suit a patient's needs. Offered 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, potential patients can receive the initial screening via phone or walking in, as an appointment is not necessary for an assessment. Assessments are also confidential and free of charge so that those who may be requiring behavioral healthcare can have unrestricted access to exploring treatment options at Vantage Point. Once the initial screening is complete, and a person is deemed suitable for services at Vantage Point, the first priority is to stabilize, diagnose, and formulate a treatment plan. With emphasis placed on meeting the needs of patients, staff also begin devising a discharge plan so that each patient's treatment remains goal-focused.
