Welcoming clients at a new location ---- I believe an individual experiences life from their own unique perspective. Many people have lived through a variety of trauma (big & small) that continues to cloud their thoughts & feelings, and decisions & behaviors. My goal is to assist clients to explore and restructure these perceptions to enhance daily living. I am dually licensed as Marriage & Family Therapist and Licensed Clinical Alcohol & Drug Counselor. I am also an approved supervisor for Alcohol & Drug counselor interns. The spectrum of trauma spreads across a wide range of experiences from childhood events, substance use, toxic relationships to threat of death or physical harm and/or everything in between. I work with clients to identify & replace their negative self-talk with self-acceptance & confidence. As an EMDR certified therapist, I've completed specialized training & conducted over 500 sessions using this World Health Organization approved approach to trauma treatment. In addition to providing EMDR therapy, I encourage other clinicians to become trained & certified as an EMDR Regional Network Coordinator & consultant-in-training.
