Kent is a Marriage and Family Therapy Associate under the supervision of Hugh Floyd. After completing his undergraduate degree from Samford University, he completed his Master's in Education in Marriage and Family Counseling from the University of Montevallo. He is currently completing a PhD in Educational Psychology at The University of Alabama (expected completion in 2016). Kent works with individuals, couples and families on a wide range of issues. Some of his particular areas of interest include marriage counseling, pre-marital counseling, family counseling, working with adolescents, identity development, parenting issues, grief and loss, spiritual issues, anxiety and depression, personality development and more. In addition to his practice as a therapist and his doctoral work, Kent is also an adjunct professor both at Samford University and the University of Montevallo. He is married, and the father of two children.
