Hi, my name is Janie Taylor. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and for the past 8 years, I have worked with families who have someone they love that is dying. Grief and loss is my specialty. I love people and have experienced that we are incredibly resilient. Many people walk the road of grief and loss without a professional partner. Whether it be divorce, death, infertility, a new baby, a blended family, a new school, an empty nest, a diagnosis of a chronic illness, or any life changing event, many of us find a way to navigate it. Walking this road often feels lonely and exhausting. Our friends and family try to understand, but we fear burdening them and want to protect them from our own fears and sadness. Those feelings may present themselves in different ways for you...fear, joylessness, irritability, sleeplessness, lack of motivation, isolation, etc. I will not rescue you. I will empower you to rescue yourself. I want to be a safe partner in this leg of your journey to express and evaluate who you were, are, and who you want to be. I look forward to our partnership.
