I am a licensed and nationally certified Physician Assistant working in the area of adult and child Psychiatry. I have full prescribing ability in Nevada and can offer full service outpatient psychiatric services. I see kids and adults 6 years old and older. I am well versed in psychopharmacology as well as the need to balance out the neuro-chemical with the environmental. I am a strong believer in psychotherapy and will suggest that almost all of the patients I see consider therapy/counseling outside of medication sessions as an aid in getting perspective on their entire life picture. I am well prepared to evaluate and treat mood disturbances, depression, anger, anxiety, obsessions, attention deficit issues, psychosis, and psychiatric aspects of medical illness.I believe that Psychiatry is about "Quality Of Life", perhaps more than any other field of medicine. Because it's about YOUR quality you have to want to seek help and want to change something that is affecting your life negatively, I am ready to Help. I am an associate professor at Touro University and currently am the President of the Nevada Academy of Physician Assistants.
