My passion is helping women and families find peace throughout life's journey. My practice focuses on maternal mental health, including treatment for Postpartum Depression, Anxiety, and other Perinatal Mood Disorders. I provide counseling for perinatal loss, infertility, birth trauma, and can assist you emotionally as you navigate through parenthood. Therapy can help you to create an intentional space to nurture yourself, reconnect with your strengths, and find peace in your struggle. Emotional difficulties that occur in the perinatal period can impact not only the mother, but mother/baby attachment, the marital relationship, and the functioning of the whole family system. I use a systemic family therapy approach and utilize EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing) and mindfulness based strategies as needed. I am a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist with a Specialization in Medical Family Therapy. I have completed post-graduate training in the treatment of Postpartum Depression from The Postpartum Stress Center and have a Maternal Mental Health Certificate from Postpartum Support International. I am also trained in EMDR Therapy. I look forward to helping you.
