My focus is to empower individuals and families to make changes that make goals and dreams possible. My education in counseling and theology is the basis for my belief in hope for changing and overcoming the obstacles of life. I assist adolescents, adults, and families to resolve crisis, loss, problems in adjustment, and life transitions using evidence-based practices to include cognitive behavioral and family systems therapy. I also specialize in the treatment of disturbing life events, stressors, or changes that disrupt your life, affect your relationships, school, work, and cause traumatic distress. Using EMDR techniques you can be freed from the damaging effects of disturbing memories. Originally used to treat veterans and rape victims, EMDR typically produces faster results than other therapies for trauma; immediate results are often seen from a few sessions. Negative emotions and behaviors are alleviated, upon completing therapy. If you would like to be free of anxiety, loss or disturbing memories or if you and your family are having difficulty in adjustment I have hundreds of hours of experience to help you move forward with new perspective and effective interactions with those around you.
