I work with adolescents and adults of all ages in both short term focused counseling and longer term psychodynamic psychotherapy. I am committed to providing a comfortable and safe environment where each person is supported and encouraged to pause and reflect on their lives in the midst of our fast paced and ever changing world. I honor each person and their ability to discover their own innate wisdom as they move deeper into their own feelings and experiences. I rely on my intuitive sense and compassion to build a strong and genuine relationship. I am particularly interested in women's issues, trauma, grief and loss and the transitions that occur in all phases of life. As I work with people through these difficult feelings and situations, I encourage connection with creative expression, dreams and the unconscious. In addition to seeing adolescents in the therapeutic setting, I often collaborate with schools, health providers and agencies in order to support the most successful outcome. I worked with adolescents in the Boise Schools for over fifteen years so I am comfortable interacting in an educational system.
