Hello and welcome to my page. I am a bilingual licensed mental health counselor who provides therapeutic services for children, adolescents, adults and couples who are struggling with life's difficulties and circumstances. My goal is to empower clients and assist them in recognizing their inner strength no matter what challenges they may be facing. Through my work, I help clients gain clarity and understanding of problems pertaining to anxiety, depression, anger management, identity issues, violence prevention, bullying, life skills, sexual abuse and more. I provide a safe and comfortable setting were clients feel relaxed and free to address their issues and concerns. My specialties include the assessment and treatment of anxiety disorders including PTSD, depression, adjustment, oppositional defiance and trauma primarily related to sexual abuse. I also have a great deal of experience with play therapy, behavior modification and parenting skills. My primary therapeutic approach is cognitive behavioral therapy; however, I utilize psychodynamic, motivational interviewing and/or client-centered approaches as well as EMDR techniques to fit my clients needs. I am empathic, compassionate and understanding of my clients desires which gives way for a positive therapeutic relationship in which I help clients achieve their goals.
