I have been specializing in the treatment of individuals with eating disorders and eating related concerns since 2009 and am passionate about what I do. I work from an integrative approach and often use methods from cognitive behavioral and interpersonal theories. While I specialize in eating disorders as the focus of my work, therapy will also address related issues such as anxiety, depression, family concerns, and substance, as these concerns are often deeply intertwined with the eating disorder. Eating disorders are a multidimensional disorder and thus I strongly believe in a multidisciplinary approach. This means that eating disorders often have psychological, medical, and nutritional causes and consequences and require treatment in each area for full recovery. I have recently expanded my practice, now Under the Umbrella LLC, into a multidisciplinary treatment group offering therapy, nutrition, yoga, and sport psychology services.
