I specialize, but am not limited to, treating families living with autism spectrum disorder. As a parent myself with 2 children with special needs (Autism and ADHD) I have a uniquely empathetic perspective regarding these specific challenges. Depression, anxiety, stress-management, grief, self-care, parenting and marital issues are just a few of the areas I help people with in my office, every day. I help overwhelmed people create their "new normal". Additionally, I am fully trained in EMDR Therapy (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing). EMDR is a research-based, effective treatment for Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, childhood trauma, abuse, anxiety and depression. Our office also runs a therapy group for autism moms on Tuesday evenings. Scholarships are available for this service.
