As a Marital & Family Therapist, I help both individuals and couples strengthen their family and interpersonal relationships through family systems theory work. I work from a holistic approach that looks at both the family system and the individual(s) within it. I frequently find that my clients struggle with co-occuring issues within their relationships, such as depression, anxiety, substance abuse, grief, co-dependency, guilt & shame, sexual abuse, sexual addiction, which must be addressed so that the whole person can become healthy in body, soul and spirit. I help my clients improve their communication skills, particularly if they express themselves passively, and learn to set more effective boundaries with themselves and others. I focus on balancing thinking and feeling as a means of reducing depression and anxiety as well as learning better ways to cope with stress. Alpha Point Christian Family Counseling is a faith-based organization of therapists who incorporate sound Biblical principles into their work to help clients be productively involved in positive relationships with others, with themselves and with God.
