In my rewarding years as a therapist I have been impressed with the resilience of the people I have worked with. Despite some very difficult and stressful circumstances in your life , I have confidence that through a relationship of insight, trust, support and colllaboration, I can help you adapt and cope and learn new ways of handling your life. As a therapist , my approach is to focus on understanding what you want to accomplish in the present and then to work together with you in moving toward and achieving your goal(s) I have extensive training and experience in treating people who are struggling with anxiety,depression and dissociation resulting from stress of all kinds; e.g. relationship stress, post traumatic stress disorder resulting from different kinds of traumatic events, and the stress related to life's pressures and transitions. As a college professor and therapist, I have taught and trained students who have become professionals in the mental health field. I bring to my practice the expertise of helping you understand your problem and ultimately develop the skills to have the life you're seeking.
