Sexual, physical, and emotional abuse in childhood can greatly limit the degree to which one can function fully and find fulfilling relationships. I have an endless amount of compassion for the pain that life can bring and a tremendous amount of respect for the courage that it takes to look honestly at ourselves. It is important for you to know that I am not a passive therapist. I will not simply sit and nod occasionally while you tip-toe around the crucial issues.I see my job as being a catalyst, so you will find me to be very straight forward and direct in our therapy sessions. I am a strong believer in rapid and effective therapy. I will sometimes suggest that we include clinical hypnosis in our work together in order to move things along even more quickly, but that choice will ultimately be yours.
