As a family therapist, I believe in empowering individuals to find purpose and direction in their life by recognizing the strengths and skills they already possess. With this knowledge, we can work collaboratively in finding strategies in dealing with life changes. I believe I provide an environment of safety, trust, and compassion as well as offer an open, direct and non-judgmental approach to my work. I specialize in working with children, teens, and young adults with issues of anxiety and self- esteem. I also specialize in issues of grief and loss. There are many types of loss besides the loss of a loved one, including loss of a relationship, job or health. The family will learn ways to cope. I believe that relationships are the most powerful factors in promoting happiness and growth. I also recognize the many challenges that come with these relationships, therefore, I feel that the greatest part of my work is helping individuals and families with the many life changes they encounter.
