When a lot of us were younger, we were told that sticks and stone may break our bones but words will never hurt us. This is not always true, especially when the words are coming from our own thoughts and beliefs. It can be as simple as not believing in oneself; to as complex as having perceived validation from others that our own negative beliefs are correct. Our own focus can make the lies we tell ourselves real, even when we are wrong. Sometimes we need help to change our focus and another person's supportive words may help us. I can help you by listening, working with you to find your own goals, helping you focus on your own potential, and work at helping you reach your goals. You set the pace since this is your life, I can help you stay on track and offer suggestions. I focus on depression, anxiety, life transitions (i.e. associated with divorce, new jobs or getting older) and sexual issues (with plans to become certified as a sex therapist in the future.) I see adults only.
