The desire to be known, and to know oneself, is what motivates people to seek therapy. Working together, we can explore the meaning of your own internal experience as it relates to the external world. The therapeutic relationship is one of collaboration - I believe the answers are within each person, waiting to be known. It is important to create a safe, comfortable space for clients to explore what motivated them to begin therapy. Humor, when appropriate, can assist in expanding our perspective. In this space, clients can best integrate feelings and experiences to create more of the life they want. I work with individuals (adults and adolescents), families and couples. I specialize in treating depression, anxiety, relationship issues, and managing life transitions. Part of my style is using a here-and-now approach. Conflicts in your life and relationships will likely emerge in the therapeutic relationship. I see therapy as a laboratory and an opportunity to safely explore your current and past experiences in relationships.
