My specialty is couple and family counseling, and of course, I also see individuals ages 7 and up. I have significant experience working with children and families who are involved with DCFS. I have helped families deal with issues such as substance abuse, divorce/re-marriage, and child abuse. I also enjoy working with parents who are re-thinking their parenting style and want to work towards a more satisfying relationship with their child(ren). I enjoy utilizing the Prepare/Enrich program for working with couples. This approach is highly solution-focused, which couples love. Six to eight sessions is usually enough to see a real change in a couple's relationship. PARTIALLY bilingual services are available. This means that I have 100% COMPREHENSION in both Spanish and Russian, and welcome Spanish and Russian speaking clients to speak their native languages if it makes it easier for them to express themselves.
