The person I'm best suited to treat is someone who is willing to explore their life in depth and be open to discovering who they are regardless of previously held convictions. This is a challenging and at times a painful journey that when successful will lead to a solid sense of identity, clarity and freedom from making life decisions based on factors out of our awareness. Commitment and dedication to the process of self-discovery is essential. I believe that most issues that clients struggle with will benefit greatly from my approach. My specialty is offering an analytic approach augmented with cognitive behavioral techniques (CBT) when appropriate. My work is tailored to each client's unique needs and finding the most effective approach to alleviate painful symptoms and lead to a life more free from conflict. Having practiced for more than forty years I feel that I have developed a profound understanding of the range of issues that clients present and have honed my approach to deliver relief efficiently and expeditiously. My tenure at the Austen Riggs Center, Stockbridge, MA contributed immensely to my professional growth.
