I have over ten years of experience working with individuals, couples, and families on issues of depression, anxiety, relationships, substance abuse, and self-esteem and self-image. In addition, my training was primarily with Hospice where I developed a specialty in grief and loss counseling. I believe my greatest strength is my patience. People have the answers inside of themselves, and I feel privileged to facilitate the process of bringing clients to their best decisions and capabilities through empathetic, active listening, and gentle observation. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (License # 0701004296) in the State of Virginia. I have a B.A. in English from Northwestern University, an M.Ed. in Counseling from the University of Virginia, and have taken additional courses for licensure from the College of William and Mary.
