Nova Counseling Alternatives provides cost-effective services to those in the Southern Indiana/Greater Louisville community through traditional psychotherapy, education, and alternative treatments to help clients reach their full potentials. A holistic approach is used for the treatment of emotional pain, psychological trauma and psychiatric disorders that include diagnostic assessment, collaborative treatment planning, and appropriate referrals where required. Nova provides individual, couple, family, group therapies and reiki. Common approaches utilized include Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Play Therapy/Sand Tray Therapy. These approaches are helpful with addictions, anger management, anxiety, behavior problems, depression, Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgender (LGBT) issues, grief and loss, emotional, physical and sexual abuse, and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).
