I am a therapist with a background in working mainly with adolescents, adults, couples and families. I attempt to adapt my professional style to the needs of each individual and stress the value of developing a rapport finely-tuned to the needs of those whom I serve. I am available to conduct diagnostic assessments,ongoing treatment intervention and referral to appropriate alternative resources when indicated. My style and approach is not limited to one partiular model of intervention but is client-based and individually determined. I have worked in a combination of practice settings including a Psychiatric Hospital for children and families, a residential treatment facility for adolescents, a school system and currently private practice in central Rhode Island. Also authored professional articles on treatment of adoescents and children at risk. While working in the Psychiatric Hospital, I created and offered training opportunities and supervision for families seeking certification as foster parents. The overall goal was one of providing a level of transitional care for youngsters who were ready to leave the hospital setting while preparing them to return home with family.
