By better understanding our selves and our relationships, we can build a life of meaning and genuine connection. As a therapist, I take the time to understand what factors are currently causing distress and help clients to create a workable path towards change. I empower my clients by teaching practical skills to navigate emotions through the inevitable ups and downs that arise in our daily lives. I strive to create an environment of warmth and authenticity, and bring my own sense of compassion, humor, and non-judgmental curiosity into the therapeutic relationship. I am an LGBTQ-affirmative therapist. I work with individuals, adolescents, couples and families, and believe that healthy relationships are our greatest ally in healing. Using an integrative approach, I incorporate mindfulness-based therapies, cognitive behavior therapy, systemic family therapies, trauma-informed therapy, and mind-body awareness into my work. I am a graduate of The Family Institute at Northwestern University, and am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I have training in DBT, ACT, mindfulness-based therapies, and yoga-informed psychotherapy.
