I specialize in psychological assessment including clinical assessment, forensic assessment, and neuropsychological assessment (see www.drbenuto.com for specifics). Typical reasons why clients may be referred to me are for diagnostic clarification (e.g., ADHD, Dementia, Traumatic brain Injury, Learning Disabilities etc.) and treatment recommendations. In the case of forensic assessment psychological assessment is typically performed in the context of divorce proceedings, personal injury litigation, or criminal proceedings. In terms of treatment, I operate from an evidence-based perspective and I use treatments that have been shown to be effective. Treatment goals are established in the beginning (based on the individual's unique case factors), and these goals are assessed on a regular basis throughout treatment.
