The complexities of our relationships, work, and environment are an ongoing challenge for all of us. I approach therapy with the understanding that we are all physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual beings and that what affects one part of our lives influences how we function in all other areas. I strive to provide a safe environment for the exploration and expression of needs, ideas, and personal history. Identifying and building on their strengths, my role is to help my clients gain perspective and insight, set goals, and develop tools to make healthy decisions and maintain balance. I am well-versed in several therapeutic styles and techniques, and I adjust to meet individual needs and preferences. When appropriate, I utilize hypnosis and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), and my clients enjoy the benefits of humor incorporated into the counseling process.
