I have worked with clients of all ages for the past 14 years and am skilled at working with addictions, anxiety, depression, and trauma issues. I am specially trained in EMDR (eye movement desensitization and reprocessing) therapy which I have used effectively with all ages of clients. EDMR has been proven effective in treating addictions, body issues, complicated grief, disturbing memories, anxiety, panic attacks, performance anxiety, perinatal mood disorders, and survivors of abuse. I can help you to overcome challenges by creating a personalized treatment approach in order to meet your goals. EMDR can be seen as a physiologically based therapy that helps a person see disturbing material in a new and less distressing way. EMDR has been extensively researched and proven as a highly effective form of treatment. EMDR is one treatment endorsed and recommended by the VA for treating PTSD. Additionally, I am certified in TF-CBT, trauma focused cognitive behavioral therapy, which is an evidence based best practice therapy for treating children and adolescents who have experienced trauma. TF-CBT is the treatment modality recommended and preferred by the Indiana Department of Child Services.
