My style is nurturing, empowering, compassionate, and when needed gently challenging. I work collaboratively with my clients in helping them to develop specific goals and strategies they can use to overcome obstacles that are causing distress. While my approach to therapy is tailored to each individual client's needs, I primarily utilize cognitive behavioral therapy in my work with clients. This type of therapy focuses on changing maladaptive thinking patterns that often contribute to problems like anxiety, depression, low-self-esteem, anger, addictions, and relationship conflicts. I enjoy working with children, adolescents, and adults and provide individual, group, and couples counseling. I have significant experience in working with individuals with substance abuse and anger management difficulties, and providing treatment to children and teens that exhibit behavioral problems.
