Thank you for reviewing my profile. Choosing a therapist should be a meaningful experience, in which clients feel valued and respected. I aim to help clients understand and change the painful and confusing feelings, behaviors and relationships that arise from disturbances in mood, anxiety, trauma, loss, and other difficult life experiences. For more than 15 years, I have provided psychotherapy, general psychological testing, psychosexual and autism spectrum evaluations for adolescents, adults and children. I use a variety of interpersonal, music, art, play, and traditional, evidence-based approaches to connect with clients according to their unique interests, communication style and comfort level. I also offer clinical consultation and supervision for post-doctoral psychologists seeking licensure, as well as specialized curriculum development and training for schools and community organizations on multiple topics including: dealing with relational aggression; responding to school & community violence; and developing trauma-informed, gender responsive mental health services for LGBTQI youth. As a bilingual, bi-cultural psychologist, l have special training and experience treating issues related to acculturation and immigration, and conducting cross-cultural psychotherapy/supervision. I also have specialized experience conducting court ordered psychological evaluations; working with teen survivors of sex trafficking; and conducting grief therapy for persons affected by suicide and violence.
