I have been working with children & families for over 20 years.Throughout my professional career, I have worked as an adoption specialist and a school counselor. I have always had a passion for working with children & adults. I have had extensive training in play therapy (Graduate Certificate in Play Therapy from UCF) and understand that play is the language that children use and is important for them in counseling. Play therapy can be used with children, adolescents, and even adults and is a non-directive approach which helps the individual express them-self freely. I have helped many adoptive families explore their journey of adoption through private and state adoptions. I am well trained in preparing families for adoption, completing adoption homestudies,post placement supervision, and any adoption concern that may arise. Brevard Counseling is a licensed child adoption placement agency. I provide individual and family counseling, play and expressive art counseling. I have worked with many children of all ages to help regulate their emotions & build coping skills.
