I have been practicing over fifteen years. I addition to treating depression and anxiety, I have been very involved in working with sexual orientation issues such as coming out and bisexuality, as well as treating compulsive behaviors. I currently run a men's group, a gay and bisexual men's group, and a mixed gender group. I am also involved in training other therapists about sexual orientation issues and about group psychotherapy. Please visit my site at www.atlantatherapy.com for more information. I attempt to listen as deeply as I can to both what is said and what is not said in the therapeutic hour. This allows the client and myself to bring to awareness the hidden sources of pain or misery, and to identify sources of strength. Change then becomes possible. I have published several articles on group psychotherapy and am completing a book on the same. I am past-president of the Atlanta Group Psychotherapy Society of the American Group Psychotherapy Association Board of Affiliates, and am currently on the Board of Directors for the Division 49 of the APA.
