I believe that my warmth, empathy and unconditional acceptance provide a "safe haven" for growth and self-exploration. Clients are able to develop insight and overcome negative patterns of thinking and behaving. Often a person comes to therapy not fully understanding the reasons for stress, anxiety, depression and unhappiness. I strive to listen well and reflect back a deep, comprehensive awareness of your life situation. Through individual, couples or family therapy, my goal is to help you build secure, positive relationships and increase your sense of purpose and life satisfaction. In my experience, effective therapy goes beyond talking and developing insight. Patterns that keep us stuck are often deeply rooted in early emotional experiences. I help you process difficult emotions, utilizing experiential approaches including mindfulness and sandtray therapy, as appropriate. Clients often report feeling empowered to live more meaningful lives. I am a Clinical Psychologist with advanced family therapy training. I offer play therapy to help children understand their experience, and provide parenting support.
