With compassion and sincere interest, I have provided psychotherapy with adults, marital therapy, and family therapy with adult family members for nearly 25 years, using various therapies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Bowenian Family Therapy and other forms of Family Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, psycho-education, and my specialty, EMDR. I use an integrative approach, drawing from methodologies most suited to the individual needs and goals of the clients, hopefully alleviating suffering, resolving past and current issues and teaching new skills. I have utilized EMDR for ten years in the treatment of various forms of traumatic experience and resulting painful symptoms, including childhood sexual, physical and emotional abuse, criminal assault, domestic violence, combat, family suicide, MVA's, and spousal infidelity, and to lessen chronic pain and weaken addictive behaviors. I strive to provide unconditional positive regard and acceptance, and spiritual and cultural understanding of the client's life orientation and belief system.
