I specialize in depression and anxiety, communication skills, couples counseling, grief and loss, single parenting, career counseling, and chronic illness. As a Resident in Counseling, I tend to use aspects of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy as we work together to help clients see immediate connections between their thoughts and their current actions. This often allows for acknowledgement and change to occur sooner, and clients can experience the satisfaction from the results of their hard work. I work with children, adolescents, adults, couples and families. During sessions, I use varying techniques and tools, such as play therapy, art therapy, guided meditation, and activities, to make the sessions more interactive. I have found this allows for a more relaxed environment where healing can occur. I believe that the entire person, emotionally, physically, intellectually,and spiritually, needs to be considered in order to make one whole again. By addressing each trouble from this perspective, we are then able to peel back the layers and resolve each basic problem at its root.
