I'm a double board-certified psychiatrist who treats children, teens, and young adults. Every patient is different, so I work hard to get to know my patients and tailor care to their particular goals and needs. I treat people with ADHD, anxiety, depression, behavior problems, and other common psychiatric issues, including difficulties adjusting to changes in life. I also evaluate and treat schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, the behavioral difficulties seen in autism, and rarer disorders. As a medical doctor, I often treat patients with both medication and talk therapy. But I can also do therapy without medication or, if appropriate, medication without therapy. I'm board-certified in both general psychiatry and child and adolescent psychiatry, and specialize in cognitive-behavioral therapy, play therapy, and medication management. I trained at Yale University and Brown University, where I was chief resident. My mission is to help people find balance, healing, happiness and hope in their lives. As a child psychiatrist, I believe in educating parents and keeping open lines of communication with teachers and other professionals helping the child feel his or her best. My office, on Capitol Hill, strives to be a warm and welcoming place.
