I have over 10 years of experience helping people change. Change can be scary, challenging, exhilarating, and fulfilling. I help facilitate change by developing a close therapeutic relationship with clients and by utilizing evidence based therapies, and my well developed intuition to identify the source of your problem and the best pathway forward. I specialize in treating ADHD, motivational difficulties, depression, anxiety, and self defeating behaviors. I also help with existential issues, such as finding meaning, discovering passions, and developing and sustaining close relationships. My ideal clients are young adults, and adults experiencing difficulties in school, work, and relationships due to ADHD, lack of motivation. I have extensive experience scientifically researching shame and guilt, and helping clients understand and work through these feelings. Oftentimes shame, guilt, anxiety, and anger are the most distressing emotions people with ADHD face. My job as a counselor is to help people identify, articulate and ultimately process these difficult emotions. I find value in integrating creative and active pursuits into counseling, including ceramics, painting, drawing, and hiking. Getting out of the office and into a studio or out in nature helps develop the therapeutic relationship and open different modes of communication. Finally, I offer a special student rate of only $30 per 50 minute session.
