I have 20 years of experience in the treatment of emotional and behavioral issues with infants, children, teens, and families in the Naples area. Play is often used because it is the "language" of children, and is an excellent match for what we know about child and brain development. Parents may feel overwhelmed when their child is anxious, sad, angry, withdrawn. Children may use a variety of modalities to express themselves including puppets, sand trays, doll houses, painting, clay, and other evidence-based mindful approaches. A treatment plan is developed with the family and parents receive support and feedback. I have newly constructed, carefully designed offices and playrooms where children, teens, and families feel safe and calm. A "teen room" provides a comfortable space for adolescents. Children are provided with many ways of engaging and using all of their senses in assessment and treatment.
