Welcome, and thank you for taking the time to visit. Seeking counseling is a courageous and often difficult step, so please feel free to contact me if you have questions. I specialize in working with people who are saddled with anxiety, stress, and problems moving past loss or trauma. Many people experience these issues at some point in their lives, and these continued challenges can lead to difficulty in managing daily tasks, and enjoying healthy relationships. Continued stressors can easily lead to a loss of meaning and hope, and pessimism about the future. Since trauma and depression can result in a profound sense of disconnection for clients, I focus first on establishing a meaningful, trusting therapeutic relationship. Secondly, I strive to help clients take responsibility for their well being, so they can strengthen fundamental skills within themselves that will carry forward. My philosophy of counseling is grounded in helping clients find serenity and self-acceptance by clarifying what they can or cannot change. In sum, my goal is to not only help clients make meaningful changes, but also develop appreciation and honor for who they genuinely are.
