Have you ever visited with someone, and then wondered if they really understood?I believe in the importance of advocating and listening to the people with whom I work. When a child is referred, I will most likely suggest family sessions; we will work together as a team. When possible and safe, It is important to work with the family system for lasting change. Issues I'm best suited to treat: mood disorders including depression and anxiety, sexual abuse, trauma and PTSD, developmental disorders in infancy and early childhood, school refusal, family issues with divorce, and grief & loss. I use a combination of experiential and talk therapies; both cognitive-behavioral and play based. Most importantly, I listen to you. I hear and help. I enjoy working with people of all ages. My clients range in age from 1.5 to 70+. Strider is a 11 year old Border Collie, and professional Therapy dog. She and I were first teamed together in 2002. **update Strider is 75% retired.
