I am a psychologist and have worked with children and adolescents for over 32 years. I have been married for 34 years and am the father of three grown children (two daughters and one son), so I know about children and families from a personal and professional perspective. I have a strong focus on family therapy and parents, as well as their child, can expect to be actively involved in the therapy process. I strive to use treatment techniques based on research that supports their effectiveness. I also strive to treat people with respect and to listen and understand, before I intervene. It is important for me to understand a child's and family's strengths, as well as weaknesses. Common problems that children/adolescents I work with experience include: anxious, fearful, withdrawn, depressed, low self-esteem, overactive, impulsive, inattentive, moody, difficulty relating with others, poor self-control, disrespectful, disobedient, problems in school, etc.
