For every life question in your mind, there is an answer deep within the wisdom of your heart and body. Often this requires pausing and listening long enough to unwind the places that have become stuck in repetitive thinking and behaviors. By learning to listen to ourselves we unwind the tangled messages we receive from within, find our truth, and move forward with clarity and wholeheartedness. I believe my fundamental role as your counselor is to listen closely, compassionately, and without judgment so that you can develop the ability to listen and trust that which lies within yourself. The largest area of your brain is that area responsible for feelings of happiness and well-being. It is our human birthright to grow towards peace, joy, and equanimity. We all carry within ourselves the ability to orient towards our optimal state of health. My desire is to support your journey towards wholeness. After I earned a masters degree in speech-language pathology from Western Michigan University I worked in a neuro-psychological hospital and the public schools. It was there I developed expertise working with the social-emotional overlay of communication disabilities and went on to earn a masters degree in counseling.
