My clinical work is dedicated exclusively to the needs of children and adolescents, with a focus on optimizing their functioning in all areas. I have extensive training and expertise in the subspecialty field of pediatric psychology, which focuses on the unique challenges that arise in development when there is the presence of physical symptoms/medical illness. In addition, I specialize in the concerns of very early childhood (the first five years), as well as the management of more general emotional and behavioral difficulties. I offer a range of services including consultation/evaluation, follow-up treatment, and formal psychological testing. I often meet families after their child has failed to fit with another provider. It is difficult to have a child struggling, and even more so when efforts to find help are not "helpful". I enjoy creating a different experience for kiddos and working together to improve daily functioning. Many children are uncomfortable with the idea of working with a psychologist, and with sharing personal details and their concerns. The feedback I routinely get is that their experience with me is different and so much better than they expected! That is my first goal... and then we can begin.
