I believe that we all face times in our lives when things just don't seem to be going the way we would like. Maybe relationships, work, or school are stressful - or something just feels "off." It is during these times that it is often helpful to explore and process our experiences to determine areas for change or improved management. Change can be difficult and hard work, as well as extremely rewarding. I believe that we all have the potential to make helpful changes and we often benefit from exploring those areas of change in a safe and comfortable environment. I work with adolescents and adults individually as well as within a couple or family relationship. I often see clients who are experiencing depression, anxiety, adjustment to life events, and relational difficulties. I have an eclectic approach to therapy, drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, strength-based, and systems theory. I strive to create a safe and comfortable environment to process and gain insight collaboratively with clients. I often work with my therapy dog in training, Willow, a 4-year-old Labradoodle, to provide Animal-Assisted Therapy. The human-animal bond is a rich and rewarding addition to the therapeutic process!
