I provide services in three main areas: psychoeducational evaluations, individual therapy, and mindfulness groups. I conduct psychoeducational evaluations for children, adolescents and adults. These evaluations are used to make appropriate diagnoses and treatment recommendations, for educational planning/decision-making, and used to apply for testing and classroom accommodations in elementary and secondary school, college and in graduate school. My therapy focus is with young people. Difficult times are a normal part of life and I help clients improve their capacity to manage during those times, and build resilience and skills to handle stressors throughout life. I have a keen interest in mindfulness-based practices in therapy and draw upon neuroscience to help clients understand and strengthen the connection between mind and body. I enjoy empowering young people to develop skills to reduce anxiety and depression, increase focused attention, and improve emotional and behavioral regulation skills. In addition to offering individual therapy services, I am delighted to be co-leading mindfulness groups for children and teens (www.atlantamindfulnessgroups.com). As a professional who has benefited from my own training in mindfulness, I am excited to bring these powerful tools to young people and their families.
