I approach therapy as a sacred trust. Primary in my mission is to create a safe and emotionally comfortable environment for all who enter in. Philosophically I view people as possessing or consisting of multiple facets such as mind, body and spirit. It is imperative to give attention to each part of a person and their life system in order to help them find their true self and acheive wholeness. By displacing negative and destructive thoughts with hope, love of self and others, a belief in the possibility of change can emerge. Attempting to narrow down my specialty has always been a daunting task. Because I attempt to see a person as a spectrum of events, thoughts and feelings my focus tends toward an integrative method incorporating psychodynamic, existential, experiential and spiritual modalities. Within this genre most issues can be addressed. My license as a professional counselor along with a certification as a hypnotherapist and a certification in Neuro Linguistic Programming work well together. Each area of training gives me insight into the person and their problem allowing for a broader understanding as well as a variety of approaches in treatment.
