Not knowing what to say is often the reason individuals give for not seeking help. Help begins with, "Hello. My name is...". Warmth, genuineness and empathy are essential to all client/patient relationships. Whether the problem is depression, anxiety, parent/child issues, loss, grief, children's issues or other life transitions, I genuinely understand the pain individuals are suffering.
