I believe that strengthening the sense of self - by integrating body and mind and becoming aware of the unconscious forces that may trigger emotions, thoughts, and behaviors - is a key aspect of achieving mental health. With this perspective, I promote a collaborative approach in which the psychotherapist-client relationship supports clients as they improve their mental health and achieve the changes in life they are seeking. I have experience helping individuals with a wide range of psychological issues including anxiety, depression, and personality disorders; adjustment to disabilities; grieving for a loved one; life transitions; acculturation; and relationship and sexuality issues. In addition, I have experience helping adolescents and young adults dealing with career decision-making. I also have experience as a Play Therapist, working with children and adolescents, and children with Autism; as a Family Therapist, working with parents and couples.
