Recovery Starts Here As a treatment facility with community housing, Transformations By The Gulf offers programs structured for 30, 60, and 90-day stays. We accept major insurance plans. Comfort, privacy and long term success is paramount. Transformations By The Gulf is located on St. Pete Beach, Florida, a barrier island just off the Pinellas County mainland. We are licensed by The Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF) as a Day/Night Treatment Facility with Community Housing, strictly adhering to confidentiality and privacy standards. Why Gender-Specific Rehab? According to the National Institute on Drug Abuse and Addiction (NIDA) men and women with substance abuse addiction problems require different treatment and prevention approaches. Transformation By The Gulf provides gender specific treatment programs because, in this setting, we find our clients have more success and fewer distractions than they would in a co-ed setting. Women have unique biological, psychological, social, and familial needs that can be better addressed in a gender specific setting. Also, women are more open to sharing and talking about difficult issues in an all-female setting rather than a co-ed one. Our goal is to ensure the women in our program feel safe and comfortable talking about addiction issues, self-esteem, sexuality, family situations, and anger issues and building bonds of support and accountability with other women in treatment. We provide a safe atmosphere, where staff have a hopeful and positive attitude toward women and show investment in learning about women's experiences, treatment needs, and developing appropriate interventions. Our Residence At Transformations By The Gulf our women's program was designed to provide female clients with a highly structured and supportive environment in a peaceful supportive / nurturing setting. Our goal is to give our clients the best chance at long term recovery by creating a solid foundation in sobriety. Receiving addiction treatment in a women's only program provides the recovering alcoholic or addict the benefit of working together and forging caring bonds of support and accountability with other recovering men. The women can focus on their sobriety for 30, 60, or 90 days and build an excellent foundation that will help them overcome the urge to relapse when they graduate or step down to our Intensive Outpatient Program or transitional living. Transformations By The Gulf offers community treatment housing to individuals who enroll in our Day Treatment program. Our housing is a five bedroom, single family home situated on a waterway with private dock and experienced staff available 24 hours a day. It boasts a modernized and fully equipped kitchen with all needed appliances and utensils. Our clients shop and prepare their own meals. At times, private single occupancy bedrooms are available.
