Unlike most of my colleagues, I assess toddlers and very young children. This is because my specialty is in early child development and many of the disabilities they might have in attention, memory, behavior and learning. I also see school age children, teenagers and, because all of these have parents, I also do family therapy, individual adult therapy, and couples therapy, in an effort to make home life less stressful and more productive for everyone. I usually start with an initial screening or short evaluation in order to determine what the problem is. This minimizes the financial committment for the parent. Starting with a global estimate of your child's intelligence, the parent can chose to advance to a more detailed analysis of the child's total educational functioning and behavior, including a full psycho-educational battery of tests that include, cognitive processing and personality assessment. I monitor the child's learning progress each year. I was raised with an autistic brother so I have experienced most of the behavioral, social, and learning difficulties students present. I have taught in regular and special education clasrooms. I have been a psychologist within the schools. Save your gas and travel time to the office. Facetime and Skype appointments are available.
