I work with a variety of client issues using a cognitive-behavioral approach to treatment. I understand that client concerns are complex so I help clients to understand how their behaviors and coping strategies may be affecting many areas of their life. In particular, I have success with getting clients to make healthy changes in their life, whether it be substance use, depression, trauma, anxiety, or relationships. When it comes to treating addictions and substance use I have found that his approach is more effective than traditional addiction treatment. My speciailty is in treating addictions. I use a non-confrontational approach to addiction that allows the client to make choices for themselves. I help my client explore changes they would like to make and I provide a menu of options on how they can make those changes. I am Board Certified in Cognitive and Behavioral Psychology and I have recieved advanced training in motivational interviewing. Our practice focuses on empirically supported approaches to helping clients. I believe that my clients deserve to be exposed to the best treatments that science has to offer!
