I have journeyed with clients who are adolescents, couples, and individuals struggling with depression, anxiety, addictions, grief/ loss, chronic illness, sexual addiction, divorce, self-harm behavior and suicidal thoughts. My specialization is in the area of sexual addictions, trauma, and sexually compulsive behaviors. Although I will explore the specific problem that brought you into counseling, I will also explore in depth the nature of your relationship with other significant people in your life. This will be done in such a way as to challenge ineffective ways of living and provide for personal change. I work cooperatively with my spouse, Ashlie Unruh, in the successful treatment of sexual addictions, sexually compulsive behaviors, and disorders of intimacy.
